Telehealth is a growing service in health care for those unable to attend a doctor’s office. Intended for times when a patient is out of town, sick, or for bad weather.
We are still working to understand whether insurance companies will ultimately reimburse for the service, let alone at a fair rate. We are currently asking that our patients check on their insurance to make sure they are covered. There are no guarantees that we’ll be able to accept or process your insurance for such services.
Telehealth videoconferencing allows the patient an opportunity to visually and verbally meet and collaborate with their healthcare provider. You are able to see and talk to the provider once you’ve scheduled an appointment. Our providers are available for new patients, new complaints, follow-up sessions, imaging reviews, case reviews, injury management, home therapy, concussion and balance therapy, among any other needs or issues you might have. New patients often use the service to simply meet with one of our providers and discuss their situation before coming in for an in-office appointment.
Once you schedule a session, our system will send an email invite link that you will click on at the time of your appointment. The link will connect you through our video conferencing service with the ESP provider of your choosing. You will need a computer or phone with a camera and microphone.
If you have any further questions about telehealth conferences, please do not hesitate to contact us.
